About
Kimberly D. Stevens is a civil trial attorney with offices in Atlanta and Detroit who represents domestic and international companies. Her practice covers business disputes, gig economy litigation, premises and product liability, catastrophic injury claims, class actions, and toxic torts. She is licensed in Georgia and Michigan and has handled litigation in state and federal courts across several states.
Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School. She previously served as in-house counsel for an energy company, representing its parent company, subsidiaries, employees, and officers. Earlier, she worked in operations, human resources, and labor negotiations for a major American automobile manufacturer, gaining direct experience with corporate management. Her corporate background complements her work defending companies in litigation.
Kimberly’s representative work includes leading a team that secured three separate Georgia court orders requiring arbitration in civil lawsuits against Uber and its subsidiaries. These cases addressed whether users agreed to contractual terms when registering through a smartphone app or website and continuing to use the service after receiving updated terms. The decisions also considered online evidence used to establish the applicable agreements. In one matter, the court accepted authenticated records from the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. Her work involved orders issued in DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett counties in 2020.
Kimberly D. Stevens was selected by her peers for the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants, recognizing her work representing clients facing personal injury claims. Her professional service includes a prior appointment as a mentor in Georgia’s Transition Into Law Practice Program and service as vice chair of a premises liability committee. She has also received service awards from the Wolverine Bar Association and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Everybody Wins! Atlanta.
