About
Marc L. Mukasey is a New York trial lawyer who serves as co-chair of the Trials group and co-lead of the New York Litigation department. His practice focuses on high-stakes criminal and civil matters, including white-collar defense, government investigations, commercial litigation, securities disputes, and trial work. He represents clients across financial services, sports, manufacturing, and health care, bringing extensive courtroom experience to federal trials, investigations, regulatory matters, and other disputes involving significant legal, financial, or reputational consequences for clients nationwide.
Marc earned a J.D., cum laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. He later clerked for the Honorable I. Leo Glasser of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. His education and federal clerkship provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, courtroom procedure, and written advocacy. That background supports his work on complex criminal and civil cases requiring careful strategy, persuasive presentation, and detailed understanding of federal litigation matters.
Marc has handled scores of high-pressure federal trials and investigations. His experience includes securing an acquittal for a Navy SEAL in a murder trial, obtaining the first acquittal in a commodities fraud spoofing trial, and playing a significant courtroom role in major cryptocurrency litigation. He has represented a US president, public officials, executives, corporations, law enforcement officials, and sports figures. Earlier in his career, he led white-collar practices and later previously served as a chief in the US Attorney’s Office.
Marc L. Mukasey is admitted in New York and before federal courts including the Second Circuit and district courts in New York and Connecticut. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers.
