Kevin P. O’Keefe is a Portsmouth, New Hampshire criminal defense attorney who represents clients across a wide range of criminal matters. His practice includes DWI defense and serious felony cases, including homicide matters. Before establishing Rock Law, PLLC, Kevin represented thousands of clients with the New Hampshire Public Defender and handled criminal cases at different levels of seriousness. His work draws on extensive courtroom experience and a practical understanding of preparing and presenting criminal defense cases.
Kevin earned a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, an M.Ed. in Sport Administration from the University of Miami, and a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. Before law school, he captained and later coached the UNH tennis team. He also clerked at the Pentagon for the US Air Force, conducting administrative analysis and assisting with criminal investigations. His graduate studies at the University of Miami earned him the Award of Academic Merit, adding to a background that combines legal training, sports administration, and investigative experience.
Kevin began his legal career with the Broward County Public Defender in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During two years of daily courtroom practice, he tried dozens of cases and secured acquittals in his first three trials, including two DWI cases. He returned to New Hampshire in 2009 and continued representing criminal defendants through the New Hampshire Public Defender. His experience ranges from DWI charges to major felony and homicide cases. He has also presented to other lawyers on panel jury selection and voir dire.
