Kevin Docherty

Kevin Docherty is a respected partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy LLP, where he plays a key leadership role in the firm’s commercial litigation practice. Known for his commitment to justice and results, Kevin represents businesses and individuals in various matters, including contract disputes, civil rights violations, employment conflicts, personal injury, and criminal investigations. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts and has also argued before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and D.C. Circuits.

Kevin earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Eastern Mennonite University in 2005. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2012.

Since joining the firm in 2013, Kevin has earned a reputation for his sharp litigation skills and deep commitment to client advocacy. He has successfully led cases with millions of dollars at stake, including high-profile matters such as disability rights under the ADA, employment discrimination, and complex commercial claims. Kevin also defends individuals in significant criminal cases and has served as court-appointed counsel in federal appeals.

Kevin’s achievements have been widely recognized. He has been listed in “The Best Lawyers in America” for Commercial and Personal Injury Litigation and named among “Maryland Super Lawyers” since 2017. He is also featured in Lawdragon’s top 500 lists for civil rights, employment law, and litigation.
