Kenneth W. Welsh, Jr.

Kenneth W. Welsh Jr. is the founding partner of Welsh, Wales & Fry, PLC, where he provides skilled legal representation in insurance defense, construction litigation, and business law. With over two decades of experience, he represents insurance companies, contractors, businesses, and individuals in high-stakes legal matters across Arizona.

Mr. Welsh earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2000. He received his B.S. in Economics with honors from Northern Arizona University in 1996.

Admitted to the Arizona Bar in 2001 and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona in 2002, Mr. Welsh is a trial-focused attorney with more than two decades of courtroom experience. His practice is devoted primarily to litigation, with approximately 90% of his work dedicated to trial and dispute resolution. He concentrates on insurance defense (70% of his caseload), construction law (20%), and business and corporate matters (10%).

Mr. Welsh is deeply involved in construction-related legal issues, both as a litigator and an educator. He has served as a panelist and moderator for seminars such as “Arizona and Nevada Coverage and Current Trends” and “Recent Trends in Construction Defect Class Action Certification.” He also lectures on strategies to avoid construction litigation, helping clients proactively manage risk.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Welsh is committed to giving back to the community. He volunteers as a lawyer with Community Legal Services, offering free legal help to those in need. He has also worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Legal Studies at ABA-approved community colleges in Maricopa County, sharing his knowledge with future legal professionals.
