Kelly L. Travis

Kelly L. Travis is a litigation attorney with more than two decades of experience helping individuals and families resolve complex legal disputes. Her practice covers domestic relations, estate planning, probate conflicts, real estate matters, and civil litigation. She focuses on practical solutions that protect client interests while moving cases forward efficiently and responsibly.

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, before completing her legal studies. She later received her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law (cum laude). This academic training prepared her to address complex legal issues with careful analysis and practical judgment.

Kelly represents clients in a wide range of domestic relations matters in Michigan and Indiana courts. Her work includes divorce, custody and parenting time disputes, child support issues, paternity cases, guardianships, and prenuptial or postnuptial agreements. She also assists with post-judgment modifications and annulments when families face changing circumstances.

Kelly also guides clients through estate planning and succession matters designed to protect assets and manage the transfer of wealth. Her work includes charitable planning, probate and trust administration, and strategies that help families organize their affairs while preparing for future financial and personal needs. These plans help reduce confusion and prevent future disputes overall.

Kelly has also handled a variety of general litigation matters, including civil disputes and contested probate cases involving both individuals and business entities. Earlier in her career, she served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Berrien County and also prosecuted ordinance matters for local municipalities.

Kelly is admitted to practice law in Michigan and Indiana. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Berrien County Bar Association, Cass County Bar Association, and St. Joseph County Bar Association (Indiana). She was named Leader Publications, Reader’s Choice Awards, Best of the Best – Runner Up, 2021.
