Kelly A. Love

Kelly A. Love is the business and transactional attorney at Kizer & Black and has served as the firm’s Chief Manager since 2016. Kelly represents clients in entity formations, including corporations and LLCs, mergers and acquisitions, business and commercial transactions, contracts, and commercial and residential real estate matters. Her work helps businesses structure relationships, document transactions, manage property interests, and address legal requirements connected to growth, ownership, financing, and operations.

Kelly graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. After working as a bank consultant in southern California, she returned to the University of Tennessee College of Law and graduated summa cum laude. Her combined finance, consulting, and legal education provides a strong foundation for business transactions, contract drafting, real estate deals, and commercial decision-making.

Kelly began her practice with a focus on creditors’ rights, including loan originations, defeasances, securitized mortgage transactions, foreclosures, workouts, short sales, and bankruptcy-related matters. Her current transactional work includes company formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, leases, and real estate transactions. She has taught Contract Drafting and Representing Enterprises as an adjunct professor, reflecting experience translating business objectives into clear legal documents and workable transaction structures.

Kelly A. Love serves on business and community boards in Blount County and previously received the United Way Board Member of the Year honor. She belongs to the Blount County, Knoxville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations. Her practice combines finance training, transactional experience, teaching, and firm leadership, giving business clients practical guidance on contracts, organizational structure, acquisitions, real estate, and other legal issues tied to commercial operations.
