Kelli A. Knight

Kelli A. Knight is counsel at Semmes, Bowen & Semmes in Hagerstown, Maryland. She works in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation and Employers’ Liability Practice Group. Her experience includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants before the Workers’ Compensation Commission and handling civil litigation matters. She advises on disputes that can arise after workplace injuries, when questions about liability, benefits, and the legal process must be addressed.

Kelli received a B.S. in Psychology from Misericordia University in 2009, graduating magna cum laude with university honors and a minor in Political Science. She earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2012. Her education supports legal work that involves examining evidence, understanding the circumstances behind injury claims, and managing disputes between employees, employers, and other parties.

Kelli joined Semmes as counsel in 2021 after practicing as an associate at two other Maryland law firms. She had more than eight years of experience representing parties before the Workers’ Compensation Commission when she joined the firm. Her background also includes managing different stages of civil litigation. She brings experience from both claimant and defense perspectives to matters involving workplace injuries and employment-related liability.

Kelli A. Knight is admitted to practice in Maryland and New Jersey and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. She was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2022 for workers’ compensation work. Her ability to evaluate claims from both sides of a dispute supports detailed case assessment and advocacy.
