About
Keith E. Donovan is the managing partner of Morris James and chair of the firm’s Executive Committee in Delaware. He represents plaintiffs in personal injury, mass tort, product liability, and workers’ compensation matters. His work includes catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims arising from accidents, defective products, workplace incidents, and other serious events. He also handles large-scale injury litigation and brings prior insurance-defense experience to the evaluation of liability, damages, coverage, and litigation strategy.
Donovan earned a J.D., cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School in 1991 and a B.S. from the University of Delaware in 1988. His legal career began with work representing insurance companies and insured parties, providing early experience with defense strategy and claims evaluation. That background now informs his representation of injured people and families pursuing compensation.
After approximately a decade of insurance-defense work, Donovan shifted his practice to plaintiffs’ personal injury matters. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has handled significant product, mass tort, accident, and workers’ compensation claims. His current work includes complex litigation involving serious injuries, disputed causation, insurance issues, and multiple parties, as well as leadership responsibilities within his firm.
Keith E. Donovan has received professional recognition for personal injury and workers’ compensation work and has participated in trial-lawyer organizations. As managing partner, he also holds a major leadership role at Morris James. He combines trial experience, prior defense work, and firm management perspective to help injured clients assess claims, develop litigation strategy, and pursue recovery in complex civil matters.
