Keith Call

Keith Call is a partner at Spencer Fane and a full-service litigator representing both corporate and individual clients in a broad range of disputes. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and professional liability defense. He often handles high-stakes “bet the company” cases involving significant financial and reputational risks. His strategic approach helps clients resolve difficult matters while staying focused on their core business and personal interests.

Call earned his B.A. from Brigham Young University in 1990 and his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University in 1993. Admitted to the bar in Arizona and Utah, he is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for Utah and Arizona, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits. His broad admissions allow him to represent clients in a variety of jurisdictions and complex appellate matters.

Call regularly represents businesses in disputes involving contracts, fraud, interference with business relations, covenants-not-to-compete, and partnership conflicts. He also advises technology companies on licensing, software development, and intellectual property litigation. With deep knowledge of trade secret law, he has handled numerous high-stakes cases involving sensitive proprietary information. His practice also includes the defense of law firms, accountants, engineers, insurance agents, and other professionals facing malpractice or liability claims.

In addition to his courtroom practice, Keith Call is well-regarded by the Utah legal community. He received a Distinguished Service Award from the Utah Chapter of the Federal Bar Association in 2014. Since 2010, he has written the “Focus on Ethics and Civility” column for the Utah Bar Journal, guiding fellow attorneys on professionalism. His work reflects a commitment not only to strong advocacy but also to advancing ethical standards in the legal profession.
