Katherine Wiggins Fisher is an attorney with Battle Winslow, where she focuses her practice on family law and related litigation. Born and raised in Rocky Mount, she returned to her hometown after beginning her legal career in High Point and joined the firm in 2000, becoming its first female partner in 2003.

Katherine earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina in 1989. She later received her Juris Doctor from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 1992, establishing a strong academic foundation for a career dedicated to family law advocacy and dispute resolution.

Katherine’s practice centers on divorce, child custody, child support, postseparation support, alimony, and equitable distribution. In addition to litigation, Katherine is a North Carolina-certified Family Financial Mediator and regularly mediates matters involving custody, support, and financial issues, helping parties work toward efficient and informed resolutions.

Katherine has been deeply involved with the North Carolina Bar Association, serving for many years in leadership roles in the Family Law Section, including as Chair during the 2014–2015 bar year. She also served on the NCBA Board of Governors and the North Carolina Bar Foundation Board of Governors from 2017 to 2020.

In recognition of her professional service, Katherine received the North Carolina Bar Association Citizen Lawyer Award in 2017. She is also actively involved in the Rocky Mount and Nash County communities through leadership roles with educational, civic, and charitable organizations.

Katherine Wiggins Fisher is admitted to practice in North Carolina and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina. She is known for her thoughtful counsel, balanced advocacy, and commitment to guiding clients through complex family law matters with clarity and professionalism.
