Katherine Unger Davis

Katherine Unger Davis is a Partner in Dechert’s Philadelphia office who concentrates on product liability and mass tort litigation, with particular experience in appellate matters. She represents companies in multi-jurisdictional actions involving personal injury, consumer fraud, public nuisance, and other commercial disputes. Her practice covers complex litigation from discovery through trial and appeal, including witness preparation, expert issues, motion practice, and strategic management of matters involving pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Ms. Unger earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Social Change. She earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Boston College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She later clerked for federal judges in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Ms. Unger manages disputes from discovery through appeal and has defended expert and company witnesses at deposition and prepared them for trial. She has served on trial teams that secured victories for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
