Katherine N. Willett, Esq., is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in elder law, estate planning, and fiduciary litigation. She has built a career focused on guiding individuals, families, and seniors through complex legal matters with clarity and care. Her practice at Willett Legal, PLLC, emphasizes proactive planning, long-term asset protection, and practical legal solutions with elder law and estate planning that support clients at every stage of life. Katherine completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning her J.D. from Mercer University School of Law. While in law school, she was deeply engaged in advocacy and leadership, serving as an Executive Officer on the Moot Court Board. She competed at the national level, earning finalist recognition and selection for elite moot court championships. Her excellence in advocacy led to her induction into the Order of the Barristers, and she received the Dean’s Community Service Award for sustained leadership and service.

Katherine has a legal career that includes valuable experience across government, judicial, and private practice settings. During law school, she worked in the General Counsel’s Office at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and with a civil defense firm, gaining exposure to complex operations and litigation. After graduation, she completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Eugene M. Benton, where she developed strong analytical and courtroom skills.

Katherine later practiced in Atlanta, focusing on business, construction, and fiduciary litigation, and became a leader within the State Bar of Georgia. She co-founded a statewide pro bono estate planning initiative for first responders, which continues to serve communities today.

Katherine N. Willett later opened and led a successful elder law and estate planning practice in South Carolina before returning to North Carolina to establish Willett Legal, PLLC. Today, she provides comprehensive estate planning, trust administration, Medicaid planning, probate, and elder law services, helping clients protect their legacies and plan with confidence.
