Attorney Katherine Cooper is an associate attorney focusing on employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower protection, and wage claims. She works closely with individuals who have faced unfair treatment at work, using her knowledge and advocacy skills to stand up for employee rights in Missouri and federal courts.

Katherine began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University in 2020, where she majored in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and Public Affairs. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2023, graduating with an emphasis in Advocacy.

During law school, Katherine focused on plaintiffs’ employment law, gaining hands-on experience advocating for workers’ rights at leading employee-side firms. She also served as a Law Review editor and went undefeated in the prestigious Ellison Moot Court Competition in her final semester. Reflecting her strong academic performance in labor and employment law, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Labor Law.

Katherine is admitted to practice in Missouri and three federal courts: the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri, and the District of Kansas. Her involvement in professional associations includes membership in the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City.

Katherine has also been recognized with the Pro Bono Honors Graduate distinction, reflecting her commitment to serving others. Before law school, she supported legal efforts in criminal defense and social security disability cases, developing a deep understanding of advocacy for under served populations.
