Kasey Olivier

Kasey Olivier is a partner at Olivier Miles Holtz in Sioux Falls and a trial lawyer with experience in sophisticated plaintiffs’ litigation and criminal defense. Her practice includes personal injury, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, business litigation, estate and trust litigation, and criminal defense. She represents clients in state and federal courts and focuses on understanding the client’s priorities before developing a litigation strategy suited to the specific facts and desired outcome.

Kasey received dual bachelor’s degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She earned her J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2012. Before law school, she also spent time as an intern for Senator Tim Johnson in Washington, D.C. Her academic and public-service background helped develop the advocacy, communication, and analytical skills that support a career focused on litigation and representation of individuals facing difficult legal problems.

Kasey has handled complex plaintiffs’ cases against major adversaries as well as criminal defense matters. Kasey Olivier served as President of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association for 2020-2021 and has been recognized as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 honoree and a Super Lawyers Rising Star. She has also received the Sioux Falls Arc of Dreams Community Dreamer award.
