About

Juan Campos-Gutierrez began his legal career in Venezuela after earning his first law degree in 2006. While still in law school, he worked within the Venezuelan judicial system, serving as an Administrative Assistant for the Lara State Criminal Circuit Court and later clerking at the Lara State Superior Civil and Administrative Court. He went on to clerk for the Falcon State Criminal Court of Appeals, assisting justices with drafting judicial opinions, and eventually served as an Assistant District Attorney in Falcon State.

Juan’s academic and professional experience also included teaching Criminal Law at the University of Falcon and serving as a Criminal Investigation Instructor at the Guárico State Police Officer Instructions Center. By 2010, he had launched his own criminal defense practice, representing defendants across Guárico, Falcón, Aragua, and the Capital District, including appearances before the Venezuelan Supreme Court. This extensive background gave him a strong foundation in both trial work and appellate advocacy.

After immigrating to the United States, Juan earned a Master of Comparative Law degree from the University of Florida. During his studies, he developed a passion for U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law, deciding to dedicate his career to representing individuals navigating the complexities of the immigration system. He is admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana.

Juan’s practice encompasses nearly all areas of immigration law, with a focus on building trust and clear communication with his clients. He is dedicated to protecting the rights of immigrants, supporting minorities, and advocating for the disadvantaged.

As an immigrant himself, Juan Campos-Gutierrez deeply understands the challenges his clients face and works to explain complex legal issues in a simple, approachable manner. His mission remains to guide individuals and families through the immigration process with skill, compassion, and advocacy.
