About

Joshua Erlich is a Partner at The Erlich Law Office, where his practice is focused on using the law creatively and strategically to help individuals and businesses resolve complex problems. His work is driven by a commitment to fairness, and he regularly represents clients who have been treated unlawfully or unjustly in the workplace and beyond. His clients range from entry-level employees to executives, as well as small and mid-sized businesses seeking practical legal guidance.

Joshua earned his Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Taxation with a Certificate in Employee Benefits Law from Georgetown University Law Center. While at Georgetown, he served as a Legal Research and Writing Fellow, worked as a research assistant on ERISA-related matters, and was a finalist in the American Bar Association’s Law Student Tax Challenge. He completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in History and Classics.

Joshua’s litigation practice frequently involves employment disputes, including non-competition agreements, unpaid wages, commissions, bonuses, and retaliation claims. He also handles civil rights matters such as prisoners’ rights, police misconduct, and sexual assault cases, as well as defamation and contract disputes. In addition to litigation, he advises individuals and businesses on severance negotiations, employee handbooks, and workplace compliance issues.

Before founding his firm, Joshua practiced at McTigue & Veis, LLP, where he handled complex class action litigation and employee benefits matters. He also gained government experience through internships with the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, Joshua Erlich is active in professional and community organizations and has been consistently recognized by peer-reviewed legal publications for his work in employment law and civil litigation.
