Joshua A. Hasko

Joshua A. Hasko is a Minneapolis attorney who focuses on business litigation. He represents clients in complex contract disputes, business tort cases, creditor remedies, equipment leasing matters, shareholder claims, and real estate litigation. As a president and former chair of a business litigation department, he brings leadership experience to his practice. Joshua handles cases in state and federal courts, bankruptcy courts, appellate courts, and arbitration proceedings.

Joshua earned a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before receiving his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. He also served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Paul A. Magnuson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. His legal training and court experience support his work on disputes involving contracts, secured transactions, and business ownership.

Joshua has represented national equipment lessors in disputes over leases, liens, and the recovery of collateral. He has also handled litigation involving personal guaranties, shareholder interests, fiduciary duties, fraud, and real estate. In one matter, he represented private landowners at an inverse condemnation trial that resulted in an order directing reimbursement of their attorney fees and costs. His representative work also includes resolving a multimillion-dollar partnership dispute through trial and appellate proceedings.

He is a past chair of the National Equipment Finance Association’s legal committee and has written and presented on equipment leasing and finance issues.
