Josh Reinitz

Josh Reinitz is Of Counsel with Aretsky Law Group, P.C. and focuses primarily on defending DWI and criminal or quasi-criminal charges in New Jersey Municipal and Superior Courts. He is Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Municipal Court Trial Attorney and has served as Chair of the certification committee for municipal court attorneys. His practice centers on courtroom defense, legal strategy, and municipal law issues.

Reinitz earned a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark and attended Rutgers College. After graduation, he clerked for Judge Eugene H. Austin in Bergen County. His education and judicial clerkship provided a foundation in legal analysis, courtroom procedure, and written advocacy. That training supports his work defending clients in cases where evidentiary issues, statutory rules, and municipal court practice directly affect potential outcomes.

Reinitz has served as a Municipal Prosecutor and Municipal Public Defender, giving him experience on different sides of municipal court practice. He has participated in Supreme Court committees addressing municipal court procedure and reform and has represented the New Jersey State Bar Association as amicus counsel. His work includes DWI, criminal, and quasi-criminal defense requiring detailed knowledge of municipal court rules and trial preparation.

Josh Reinitz is admitted in New Jersey state and federal courts and has served as an elected Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He received the Municipal Court Practitioner of the Year Award in 2019 and the New Leader of the Bar Award in 2016.
