Joseph L. DeNaples is a respected partner in the firm’s Scranton office, where he concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, banking, real estate development, lending, gaming law, and bankruptcy. Joseph earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Scranton in 2001 and his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law in 2004. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a legal career defined by analytical rigor and practical problem-solving. Early in his career, he clerked for the Honorable Trish Corbett of the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas and the Honorable Correale Stevens of the Pennsylvania Superior Court—an experience that deepened his insight into judicial processes and litigation strategy.

In addition to his private practice, Joseph serves as Director of Risk Management for Mount Airy Resort & Casino, where he oversees compliance and operational integrity in a highly regulated industry. He also holds public service positions as Solicitor for the Lackawanna County Sheriff’s Office and the County of Lackawanna Transit System Authority. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, he is an active member of the Lackawanna County Bar Association.
