About

Joseph B. Caraccio is a Bay Shore immigration lawyer who represents individuals and families across the United States. His practice covers removal defense, asylum, visas, waivers, green cards, citizenship, humanitarian relief, and appeals. He appears before immigration courts, USCIS, the Board of Immigration Appeals, federal courts, and United States consulates. Joseph earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2009. He received his Juris Doctor and a Public Interest Certificate from New York Law School in 2012. During law school, he volunteered with Street Law, the Unemployment Action Center, and Safe Passage Project. He was admitted in New York in 2013 and the District of Columbia in 2015. His training strengthened his research, advocacy, and commitment to supporting immigrants facing difficult legal circumstances.

Joseph began practicing immigration law in 2012 and built experience through eight years at two prominent Manhattan immigration firms, appellate work, and nonprofit leadership. He handled complex litigation involving agency proceedings, federal petitions, and family-based matters. From 2022 through 2025, he supervised a Long Island nonprofit office serving immigrants with significant legal needs. In December 2025, he opened his Bay Shore practice after more than a decade in immigration law.

Joseph B. Caraccio received Super Lawyers Rising Stars recognition from 2017 through 2026. He judged NYU Law’s International Immigration Moot Court Competition in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, he participated as a constitutional law panelist at Touro Law School. Through focused representation, he helps clients pursue lawful status, family unity, relief from removal, and citizenship.
