Jose I. Carrillo is a managing partner with decades of experience in civil litigation. He has represented both consumers and the insurance industry in a wide range of legal matters. His practice focuses on insurance disputes, foreclosure defense, and personal injury cases, providing steady and practical legal support.

Jose has been a member of the Federal and Florida Bar Associations and has practiced law since 1989. Over the years, he has developed a strong foundation in civil litigation. His work reflects a deep understanding of both sides of legal disputes, helping him guide clients through complex cases.

Before joining Gimenez & Carrillo, LLC as a partner, Jose was a partner at Carrillo & Carrillo, P.A. He also worked as an associate at Fried, Slachter & Fishman, P.A. These roles helped him build strong litigation skills and gain valuable experience in handling diverse legal matters.

Jose has handled commercial litigation matters, including more than 500 contract and residential foreclosure cases for lenders early in his career. He has also defended property owners and borrowers in over 1000 foreclosure cases, giving him broad experience in real estate and financial disputes.

In addition, Jose has represented hundreds of clients in Bankruptcy proceedings, primarily assisting consumers. His work in this area demonstrates his commitment to helping individuals navigate financial challenges and move forward with confidence and clarity throughout the legal process.
