Jorge Rivera

Jorge Rivera is the Founder and Managing Attorney of T8 Immigration Law. He focuses his legal career on immigration law matters and brings an unusual perspective shaped by his earlier work in federal immigration enforcement. Before becoming an attorney, he served as a Border Patrol Agent with the US Department of Homeland Security and later as a Special Agent with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. That experience gave him direct exposure to immigration enforcement and the challenges faced by immigrants seeking opportunities in the US.

Mr. Rivera earned his J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico. His transition from federal service to legal practice allowed him to apply his knowledge of immigration enforcement from a different professional perspective. His background as both a former federal agent and an attorney gives him familiarity with the government agencies involved in immigration matters and helps him evaluate cases with an understanding of how immigration authorities approach complex situations.
