Jorge M. Abril

Jorge M. Abril is a Florida lawyer, founder and managing partner of Abril Law, with more than three decades of experience representing healthcare providers, businesses, and creditors in complex disputes. His practice focuses on health care law, managed care litigation, insurance underpayments, contract enforcement, ERISA litigation, commercial litigation, and post-judgment recovery. He has handled high-value payment disputes involving hospitals, physician groups, rehabilitation facilities, behavioral health providers, ambulatory surgery centers, and other healthcare organizations.

Jorge earned a B.A. from California State University, Los Angeles. He later earned his J.D. from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. During law school, he served on the National Moot Court Team and belonged to the Moot Court Society. He served as the organization’s Business Manager, gaining additional experience in advocacy, legal analysis, and professional leadership during his legal education.

Jorge began his legal career as a senior trial associate with a South Florida litigation firm.
