Jorge Luis Colón

Jorge Luis Colón is the founding attorney of Jorge Luis Colón, P.A., where he has served clients throughout the Ocala and Gainesville communities for more than two decades. His diverse legal practice includes criminal defense, DUI/DWI, family law, divorce, child custody, personal injury, and workers’ compensation. He is recognized for his compassionate advocacy and unwavering dedication to protecting clients’ rights, both in and out of the courtroom.

Mr. Colón began his academic journey at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. He continued his studies at the University of Florida College of Law in Gainesville, where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2002. While pursuing his legal education, he clerked for the Honorable Jonathan Ohlman in District B, Gainesville, and completed an internship at the State Attorney’s Office under the supervision of Bill Cervone. These formative experiences provided him with firsthand insight into both the prosecutorial process and judicial decision-making, strengthening his foundation in criminal and trial law.

Before establishing his own firm, Mr. Colón gained valuable experience as an associate attorney at McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver, where he represented clients in a variety of civil and injury cases. Since founding his practice, he has built a reputation for delivering skilled representation across complex criminal and family law matters, as well as advocating for accident victims seeking fair compensation. His ability to navigate emotionally charged cases with empathy and precision has made him a trusted legal advocate throughout central Florida.
