Jonathan Reza

Jonathan Reza has built his career on defending clients facing criminal charges throughout California. From misdemeanors to serious and violent felonies, he has stood by clients at every stage of their cases. Trial-tested and dedicated, he has successfully exonerated clients when others doubted them, providing strategic defense and protecting their rights.

Jonathan began his legal studies at Hastings College of the Law, where he earned distinction as Best Oral Advocate in the school’s Moot Court competition. He later transferred to the University of California Irvine School of Law, where he completed his Juris Doctor with a focus on advanced criminal law and criminal procedure. During this time, he gained valuable courtroom experience through internships and externships with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office.

Jonathan took pride in helping indigent clients through the New Leaf Program, where he assisted with criminal record expungements. By his third year, he was already working alongside a Certified Criminal Law Specialist, contributing to the defense of cases ranging from petty theft to capital murder. These early experiences gave him an invaluable understanding of the criminal justice system and the tools needed to defend clients effectively.

After law school, Jonathan continued building his expertise, first working as a paralegal while studying for the bar exam. Following his admission to the California State Bar, he began practicing with a statewide DUI defense firm, handling cases across counties from Contra Costa to San Diego. Over time, he established himself independently, personally assisting hundreds of clients with complex cases and delivering strong results.
