About

Jonathan M. Harrison is a shareholder at Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C., who represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial litigation and government contracts matters at the state and federal levels. His practice includes bid protests, contract claims and disputes, business torts, corporate governance litigation, consumer protection matters, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and civil investigative demands. He also advises clients on litigation strategy and represents them in mediation and arbitration.

Harrison earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2017, where he served as managing editor of the Journal of Global Law and Business. He received his B.S. from the University of Tennessee in 2009. His legal education and journal experience provided a strong foundation in research, writing, and analysis that supports his work on complex disputes, investigations, and government contracting issues.

Before returning to Bean, Kinney & Korman in 2025, Harrison served as an assistant attorney general in the Consumer Protection Section of the Office of the Virginia Attorney General. In that role, he litigated matters involving state and federal laws addressing unfair or deceptive business practices. His experience includes co-leading Virginia’s actions involving Google’s digital advertising practices and the NCAA’s name, image, and likeness recruiting restrictions. He has also represented a government contractor in a successful bid protest against the Department of Justice and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Jonathan M. Harrison has first- and second-chaired trials and regularly handles depositions, motions, court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations. Earlier in his career, he worked with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Enforcement Division on stock fraud and Ponzi scheme matters and interned with the Florida Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution. Arlington Magazine recognized him as a Top Attorney in Litigation in 2021. He is affiliated with the American Bar Association, the Arlington County Bar Association, and the Homeless Animals Rescue Team.
