Jonathan D. Wassell is an attorney whose practice includes both transactional work and litigation matters. Jonathan built a strong foundation for his legal career through academic achievement and early professional experience. He earned a B.A. in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. He later received a J.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Law in 2012, graduating Magna Cum Laude. This educational background provided a solid understanding of legal principles, research, writing, and advocacy that continues to support his work today.
Jonathan gained valuable litigation experience before taking on his current responsibilities. At a civil litigation firm in Chicago, he handled matters involving administrative agencies as well as proceedings in both state and federal courts. This experience exposed him to a wide range of legal disputes and procedural issues, helping him develop the skills necessary to manage complex cases from initial stages through resolution. His familiarity with courtroom practice and litigation strategy remains an important part of his legal work.
Jonathan D. Wassell is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He maintains active involvement in several professional organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, Community Association Institute (CAI), and the Conference & Legal Forum Education Committee for CAI. Earlier involvement with the Public Interest Law Society & Moot Court at the University of Illinois also reflects a longstanding commitment to legal advocacy and professional development.
