Jon N. “Blue” Loupe is a partner at Taylor Porter who focuses primarily on commercial transactions. He advises businesses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate organization, commercial real estate, financing arrangements, and contract negotiations. Loupe also prepares asset purchase agreements, stock sale agreements, commercial leases, loan and security documents, and master service agreements. His work helps companies structure transactions, manage legal risks, and pursue important business objectives.
Loupe earned a B.S. from the University of North Carolina in 2002 and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2005. While attending law school, he served as a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review. He later clerked for Judge Kay Bates of Louisiana’s 19th Judicial District Court, gaining valuable experience in legal analysis, court procedure, and practical problem solving.
Loupe has represented clients in significant business and real estate transactions across several industries. His experience includes multimillion-dollar asset and equity sales involving professional firms, manufacturers, senior living facilities, and private equity funds. He has also assisted developers with industrial parks and multifamily projects, represented hotel operators in property acquisitions, advised companies on commercial leases and financing, and helped businesses negotiate loan workouts, service agreements, zoning matters, and franchise-related transactions.
Jon N. “Blue” Loupe is admitted to practice in Louisiana and North Carolina and is a licensed Louisiana title insurance agent. He has been recognized by Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Business and Corporate Law and is a graduate of the Baton Rouge Business Report Leadership Academy. He also serves as the North American area representative for MSI Global Alliance and contributes to the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra as a board member and treasurer.
