Jon C. Sirlin is Sirlin Lesser & Benson, P.C.’s founding partner, bringing over thirty-five years of experience in civil litigation, commercial law, and transactional matters. He is widely recognized as a premier authority in commercial collections, landlord-tenant law, partnership disputes, and real estate litigation and leasing.
Mr. Sirlin received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University and earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Dickinson College in 1970. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and has served extensively in leadership and advisory roles, including as Chair of the Philadelphia Municipal Court Committee and as Judge Pro Tem for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Commerce Court.
Throughout his distinguished legal career, Mr. Sirlin has developed a reputation for blending scholarly insight with practical litigation strategies. He co-authored the Pennsylvania Form Residential Lease and has served as a respected mediator and legal educator. His practice areas include commercial litigation, real estate, creditors’ rights, banking, construction, tort law, employment disputes, and landlord-tenant law.
Mr. Sirlin’s litigation expertise is matched by his dedication to professional and civic service. He has held key positions on numerous boards and committees, including the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Walnut Street Theatre, the Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery, and the Gettysburg Foundation.
