John Nachazel Jr.

John Nachazel Jr. is a skilled appellate attorney at the Mike Morse Law Firm, where he plays a vital role in shaping legal outcomes in Michigan’s highest courts. John earned his Juris Doctor from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona on a full tuition scholarship. He was honored as both a Chester E. Smith Fellow and a Sol D. Resnick Water Resource Fellow. He served as Senior Managing Editor of the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Water Law.

Before law school, John graduated in just three years from Michigan State University’s Honors College with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Economics. While there, he served as a Philosophy Department tutor and contributed to engineering research as a Research Assistant in the College of Engineering.

John’s legal training includes internships with Michigan Supreme Court Justice David Viviano and renowned civil rights attorney Deborah Gordon. These formative experiences sharpened his analytical acumen and advocacy skills, preparing him for high-stakes appellate work and public interest litigation.
