John H. Simpson

John H. Simpson is a partner with more than 30 years of experience in investment banking, financial services, and executive leadership. He advises on complex mergers, acquisitions, business strategy, and financial matters. John has held senior roles at major investment and advisory organizations, where he managed business units and guided important transactions. His work helps companies, investors, and institutions make informed decisions during demanding market and business challenges and opportunities.

John earned his A.B. from Williams College, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He later earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude and serving as an editor of the Harvard Law Review. His education gave him strong training in analysis, legal writing, business judgment, and research.

Before focusing on investment banking and financial services, John practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York and served as a law clerk for a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He later became a senior mergers and acquisitions professional and executive. He helps clients and organizations evaluate risks, structure transactions, manage growth, and address complex business concerns with clear practical judgment.
