John D. Perez

John D. Perez, senior partner at Perez, Perez & Perez, P.C., has practiced law since 1987 and is widely recognized as a leader in the field of immigration law. He represents clients in deportation and removal cases nationwide, appearing before U.S. Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, federal courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

John completed his undergraduate studies at William Paterson College before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Bridgeport School of Law. He is admitted to practice before all New Jersey state and federal courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fifth, and Eleventh Circuits, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. These extensive admissions, combined with his strong legal background, enable him to provide effective advocacy in complex and high-stakes immigration cases.

John is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and previously served as treasurer of its New Jersey Chapter. Selected by AILA as a Mentor, he assists immigration practitioners with complex cases and is recognized as an authority in immigration litigation. He also serves as President of the Federal Bar Association’s New Jersey Chapter and has completed 16 years of service on New Jersey’s Committee on Character, first appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court in 1992.

His roles as speaker, moderator, and panelist highlight his leadership in shaping legal understanding of asylum and deportation issues.
