Joel Williams

Joel Williams is a Georgia trial lawyer known for handling serious personal injury and wrongful death cases across the state. Other attorneys often seek his assistance in trying cases in both metropolitan Atlanta and rural Georgia. Joel earned his B.S. from Georgia Southwestern State University and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law, with a Certificate in Trial Advocacy. During law school, he sharpened his courtroom skills by prosecuting criminal cases in Jefferson County, Alabama, under a third-year practice card.

Joel began his career representing injured victims and served as lead counsel in personal injury and wrongful death cases throughout Georgia. The verdicts and settlements he obtained during that time totaled more than $ 30 million. Since founding his firm in 2013, he has helped secure more than $ 75 million in verdicts and settlements involving vehicle crashes, slip-and-fall accidents, negligent security, and medical malpractice.

Joel has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2013 to 2021 and as a Georgia Super Lawyer from 2022 to the present. He has also served in leadership roles with the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association, including President, Treasurer, and Secretary. In 2025, he chaired the Cobb County Trial Lawyers’ Continuing Legal Education Program.

Joel Williams is admitted to practice in Georgia and Alabama, as well as in multiple U.S. District Courts in both states, and in the Supreme Court of Georgia. His practice focuses on tractor-trailer wrecks, car accidents, bicycle and pedestrian injuries, motorcycle accidents, negligent security, medical malpractice, and wrongful death claims.
