Jo Ann Hoffman

Jo Ann Hoffman, Esq., was a Florida injury attorney who represented people harmed by accidents, workplace injuries, and unsafe conduct. Her practice included personal injury, workers’ compensation, Defense Base Act claims, motor vehicle accidents, truck crashes, slip and fall injuries, and complex litigation. She helped injured clients understand claims, evaluate recovery options, and pursue compensation with preparation, compassion, and strong advocacy during difficult periods after serious harm and financial uncertainty.

Ann earned her J.D. from Indiana University and graduated cum laude. She also earned her B.A. from Indiana University, graduating cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Her MBA also came from Indiana University. Her education supported legal analysis, business judgment, negotiation, and case evaluation, helping her explain claims clearly and guide injured clients through important decisions involving benefits, settlements, litigation, recovery planning, compensation, and insurance disputes under pressure claims.

Ann built a legal career spanning more than 45 years and first gained experience litigating civil cases for the City of Indianapolis. She also represented insurance companies, which strengthened her understanding of claim evaluation and defense tactics. Later work focused on injured plaintiffs, including workers’ compensation, personal injury, construction injury, airplane accident, and Defense Base Act matters requiring evidence review, strategy, client support, and strong preparation throughout each claim.

Jo Ann Hoffman was admitted to The Florida Bar and was a member of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group. Her recognition included the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Workers’ Compensation from the Broward County Bar Association. Through decades of advocacy, she helped injured workers, accident victims, and families seek justice, recover benefits, and move forward after injuries, workplace harm, preventable losses, and hardship with dignity and support.
