Jessica Wakefield

Jessica Wakefield is a litigation attorney with experience in both criminal defense and real estate matters. She represents individuals facing serious charges while also assisting clients with property-related legal issues. Her background includes handling cases at every stage of the criminal process and supporting clients with real estate concerns, giving her a versatile skill set to address complex legal needs.

Jessica earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2022 and her B.A. in Psychology from Aurora University in Illinois. During law school, she served as a Note Editor for the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law & Policy, worked with the Innocence Project Clinic, and interned at the Pima County Legal Defender’s Office. These experiences built her foundation as a strong advocate in both trial and transactional settings.

Before becoming an attorney, Jessica worked as a paralegal in Illinois, where she supported cases involving family, criminal, and real estate law. After graduating from law school, she joined the Pima County Legal Defender’s Office as an Assistant Legal Defender, focusing on felony defense work from arraignment through trial. This experience sharpened her courtroom skills and deepened her commitment to protecting clients’ rights.

In 2024, Jessica Wakefield relocated to Alaska and joined Carlson Law Group, LLC, where she continues to focus on criminal defense. She also leverages her background in real estate law to handle property disputes, landlord–tenant issues, and real estate transactions. Jessica is recognized for her straightforward, results-driven approach and client-first mindset, offering personalized legal strategies tailored to each case.
