Jessica Smith

Jessica Smith is a managing member at Vaughn & Smith in Louisville, Kentucky. She is an experienced litigator who represents clients in real estate law, title insurance, boundary disputes, latent defect and fraud disputes, construction law, homeowner and condominium owner association matters, and mediation services. Jessica works with homeowners, associations, and businesses across Kentucky, providing trusted guidance in complex real estate and contract cases.

Jessica graduated summa cum laude with her B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 2003, where she was recognized as a KEES Scholar and Bluegrass Scholar and was active in student leadership. She earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 2006, where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team and active with the Animal Defense League. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky and before the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for both the Western and Eastern Districts of Kentucky.

Jessica has twice served as Chair of the Louisville Bar Association’s Real Estate Section, earning the LBA Award for Section of the Year under her leadership. She is the current Chair-Elect of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Real Estate Section and is a frequent featured speaker on real estate and ethical issues in legal practice. Jessica has also published articles in Bar Briefs and contributed thoughtful insights on complex real estate topics.

In addition to her law practice, Jessica Smith has served the community as the former President of The Arrow Fund, a Kentucky nonprofit. Known for her dedication and strong advocacy, Jessica combines practical legal skills with a commitment to serving her clients and community with integrity and care.
