Jessica S. Wellington

Jessica S. Wellington is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on bankruptcy and litigation matters. She provides support across a variety of cases, representing clients with diligence and strategic insight. Before entering private practice, Jessica served as a law clerk to the Honorable Victoria S. Kaufman of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, San Fernando Division, where she gained valuable courtroom and procedural experience.

Jessica earned her J.D., with great distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2018. While in law school, she was the Primary Managing Editor and Legislative Editor for the McGeorge Law Review. She was also inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Honor Society, highlighting her academic excellence. She previously earned her B.A., cum laude, in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Sacramento, in 2010.

Jessica’s career includes extensive research and writing experience gained as a research assistant for McGeorge’s head of Business and Tax departments, as well as from her work as a judicial extern and assistant for Judge Kaufman. Today, she applies this background to assist clients in commercial bankruptcy, insolvency, creditors’ rights, trustee and fiduciary matters, and litigation strategy. Her detail-oriented approach ensures careful preparation and strong advocacy in every matter.

Jessica S. Wellington’s accomplishments have earned her recognition in the legal community. She has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch since 2022, recognized as a Rising Star by Southern California Super Lawyers, and honored as “NextGen Woman of the Year” by the Los Angeles Business Journal Valley Women’s Symposium & Awards in 2025.
