Jessica Mendez

Jessica Mendez is an El Paso personal injury attorney who represents people facing difficult legal situations after being harmed or mistreated. Her work is grounded in a broad view of civil claims developed through experience evaluating matters from several perspectives, including the management side. She helps clients understand complex issues, protect their interests, and pursue fair outcomes through careful preparation and determined advocacy.

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso and became a Certified Public Accountant. Before entering law school, she worked for KPMG, gaining experience in accounting and business analysis. She later attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor in 2004. Her combined business and legal education supports a practical approach to reviewing evidence, assessing damages, and building personal injury claims.

Jessica returned to El Paso after law school and spent nine years working at a defense law firm. That experience gave her insight into how companies and insurers evaluate claims and develop litigation strategies. In 2014, she opened her own practice as a plaintiff’s lawyer and continued building her career as a trial attorney. She is admitted in Texas and New Mexico, as well as the federal district courts for the Western District of Texas and the District of New Mexico.

Jessica Mendez contributes to the legal profession and the El Paso community through leadership and service. She is a board member of the El Paso Bar Foundation and Women and the Law within the State Bar of Texas. Her memberships include state and local trial lawyer associations and the American Association of Justice. She also serves with the El Paso Executive Women Lions Club and has been named a Melvin Jones Fellow.
