About
Jerry N. Higgins is the founder of his law office and founded Higgins Land Title Solutions, LLC in New Albany. His legal practice is rooted in real estate transactions and litigation, with work for real estate agents, investors, buyers, sellers, and other participants in property deals. He has years of experience addressing transaction risks and disputes that can complicate closings and investment-property matters.
Higgins graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky and earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville. He later received a J.D. from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. While attending law school, he worked full time as a law clerk, gaining practical exposure to legal work before moving into a practice focused on real estate tax lien investors.
Higgins began his post-law-school career representing real estate tax lien investors and founded his own law office in 2006 to serve agents and investors in Kentucky and Indiana. In 2021, he founded Higgins Land Title Solutions to complement that legal practice. The title business handles traditional and investment-property closings and works with agents, traditional lenders, private lenders, investors, buyers, and sellers in Indiana and Kentucky.
Jerry N. Higgins is licensed in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, with his Nebraska license inactive. His professional service has included work as a board member and chair of the Jefferson County Public Law Library and participation on Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville’s site selection committee. His practice combines transaction experience, real estate litigation knowledge, and title-closing work for clients navigating property ownership and financing decisions.
