About

Jeremy Abay is a Partner at Pond Lehocky and Chair of the Employment Litigation Group. He leads a national plaintiff-side practice representing employees, gig workers, whistleblowers, and other individuals in employment disputes. His work covers complex workplace litigation and related claims involving worker classification, employment rights, whistleblower protections, and corporate accountability. He practices from a firm with a Philadelphia office and handles matters in courts and jurisdictions extending well beyond Pennsylvania.

Jeremy earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and a B.A. from Rutgers University – New Brunswick. He is admitted in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, as well as the US Supreme Court, the US Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and several federal district courts. His legal education and broad admissions support a practice that regularly involves federal statutes, multistate litigation, and complex employment-related disputes.

Jeremy has spent more than a decade litigating matters involving gig-economy and platform workers, including disputes over employee classification and workplace protections. His practice extends to whistleblower and qui tam litigation under the False Claims Act, including cases involving insurers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers, and alleged fraud against taxpayers or government healthcare programs. He handles matters where legal strategy can shape compensation rights, worker status, regulatory exposure, and corporate accountability.

Jeremy Abay combines leadership of Pond Lehocky’s Employment Litigation Group with a plaintiff-focused national practice. His work addresses evolving employment relationships, gig-worker rights, whistleblower claims, and complex litigation involving employers and large organizations. His admissions across state and federal courts allow him to pursue matters in multiple forums. He represents workers and other plaintiffs facing disputes that require detailed factual development, statutory analysis, motion practice, settlement strategy, and readiness to litigate significant employment and whistleblower claims.
