Attorney Ian Weldon is a seasoned legal professional with over 18 years of experience handling complex legal issues. His practice includes immigration law, criminal defense, divorce and family law, as well as estate planning and probate. With each case, Ian works hard to guide people through often difficult legal systems with compassion and clarity.
Ian started his academic path at the University of Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s degree while competing as a scholar-athlete. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Florida State College of Law. He later added a master’s in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s in accounting from the University of North Florida.
Before launching his private practice, Ian worked as a trial attorney with the Jacksonville Public Defender’s Office, handling some of the most serious criminal cases, including death penalty and homicide trials. With a strong background in business and accounting, he offers a distinct advantage in complex legal matters that involve financial disputes, white collar crime, and serious felony charges.
Ian is a bilingual attorney fluent in Spanish and deeply connected to the immigration law community. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He has received several honors for his legal work, including the AV Preeminent® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and a 10.0 Superb rating on Avvo in criminal defense. He was also named among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers.
