Ian Weldon

Attorney Ian Weldon is a seasoned legal professional with over 18 years of experience handling complex legal issues. His practice includes immigration law, criminal defense, divorce and family law, as well as estate planning and probate. With each case, Ian works hard to guide people through often difficult legal systems with compassion and clarity.

Ian started his academic path at the University of Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s degree while competing as a scholar-athlete. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Florida State College of Law. He later added a master’s in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s in accounting from the University of North Florida.

Before entering private practice, Ian served as a trial attorney at the Jacksonville Public Defender’s Office. There, he focused on high-stakes cases, including death penalty and homicide trials. His background in business and accounting gives him a strong advantage in handling complex legal matters involving financial issues or serious criminal charges.

Ian is a bilingual attorney fluent in Spanish and deeply connected to the immigration law community. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He has received several honors for his legal work, including the AV Preeminent® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and a 10.0 Superb rating on Avvo in criminal defense. He was also named among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers.
