Jenny Birz

Jenny Birz is a divorce and family law attorney practicing in New Jersey and New York. Her practice is devoted to family and divorce matters, including child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and other aspects of divorce. She represents clients in negotiations and litigation and has appeared in courts across numerous counties in New Jersey and New York on contested family law matters.

Birz earned a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from New York University, graduating magna cum laude with honors in History. After law school, she completed a judicial clerkship with Judge Barry A. Weisberg in the Family Part of the New Jersey Superior Court. Her education and clerkship provided direct grounding in family law procedure, legal analysis, and judicial decision-making.

Birz has built her practice around resolving divorce and family disputes through negotiation and courtroom advocacy. Her matters include parenting arrangements, financial support, division of marital assets and debts, domestic violence, and other issues arising from separation and divorce. She brings experience in New Jersey and New York courts and applies litigation preparation to disputes where family, financial, and parenting interests require careful attention.

Jenny Birz is admitted in New Jersey, New York, and the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. She was selected to New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2014 through 2019 and again in 2021 through 2024. Her professional activities include New Jersey State Bar Association membership, prior Middlesex County Bar Association leadership, and speaking on family law procedure.
