Jennifer Walrath

Jennifer Walrath is an accomplished employment attorney with over 15 years of experience in dispute resolution, litigation, and compliance. She represents employers in a wide range of employment law matters, with a focus on defense strategies, workplace compliance, and risk management. Her practice emphasizes guiding employers through complex legal issues with clarity and efficiency.

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007, where she competed in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and contributed to the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy. Jennifer also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with Highest Distinction, from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 2004.

Jennifer began her legal career in Washington, D.C., where she practiced at Baker Hostetler LLP and Dentons US LLP. In these roles, she litigated complex matters in both state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions. This early experience provided her with a strong foundation in handling sophisticated litigation and compliance issues for employers across various industries.

After relocating to Idaho in 2019, Jennifer has concentrated her practice on employment defense, compliance, and dispute resolution. She regularly represents employers in state and federal courts throughout Idaho, including serving as second chair in an eleven-day federal jury trial in 2021, reflecting her significant courtroom and trial advocacy experience.

Jennifer’s practice also emphasizes proactive counseling and preventative strategies. Jennifer frequently assists employers with terminations, disciplinary actions, and performance issues, while also guiding the development of compliant workplace policies and procedures. She provides training for employees and supervisors, helping organizations reduce risk through education and implementation of best practices tailored to their operations.

Beyond her client work, Jennifer Walrath is active in the legal community. She is a member of Idaho Women Lawyers and completed the Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers in 2021–2022.
