Jeffrey Brenman is Of Counsel at Senn Fortis and focuses his practice on business law. He advises companies on entity choice, organization, structuring, governance, regulatory compliance, financing, and dispute resolution. He has represented businesses ranging from single-owner startups to large publicly traded companies. His work includes public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, securities matters, joint ventures, licensing, and employment law and contractor relationships.
Jeffrey earned his J.D. from the Denver University College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of St. Ives. He earned his B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder with an emphasis in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Before entering law, he worked as a biologist, medical researcher, and laboratory technician.
Jeffrey has extensive experience with federal and state securities laws involving public and private companies. He has represented clients in equity, debt, and hybrid financing transactions, public and private offerings, and complex mergers and acquisitions. His work further includes SEC administrative proceedings, FINRA arbitrations, contract disputes, shareholder claims, and business tort matters. He has advised companies in industries including technology, manufacturing, medical products, communications, real estate, construction, and energy.
Jeffrey Brenman has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, teaching Securities Law and Regulation. He is affiliated with the Colorado Bar Association and Denver Bar Association. He further serves as Senn Fortis’s representative to the Colorado Lawyers Committee. His professional background combines transactional business counsel, securities experience, regulatory compliance work, and representation in complex commercial disputes.
