Jeffery M. Wheat is the founding partner of Wheat Legal PLLC, a Seattle-based law firm offering strategic legal solutions in litigation, corporate, and transactional matters. Known for his global outlook and grounded approach, Jeffery brings a rare blend of international legal training, business acumen, and military service to his practice, helping clients—from individuals to corporations—navigate legal challenges with clarity and confidence.

Jeffery holds an LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of South Africa.

Before founding Wheat Legal PLLC, Jeffery built a strong foundation in law as an associate attorney at NLA Legal Inc. and a candidate attorney at Geo Isserow & Friedman. He also brings real-world business and military experience to his practice, having served as a business development manager and a combat medic in the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division. This unique blend of legal, corporate, and military service shapes his reputation for discipline, adaptability, and unwavering client commitment—core values that define Wheat Legal PLLC today.

Jeffery is admitted to practice in Washington State, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is actively involved in numerous professional associations, including the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association (where he chairs the Business Law Section), the National LGBT Bar Association, and the Washington State Veterans Bar Association.

Fluent in English and Afrikaans, Jeffery M. Wheat works with clients across cultural and geographic borders. He also dedicates time to pro bono efforts, including supporting military families through the Spouses’ Club of Lewis-McChord.
