Jeff Fichner

Jeff Fichner is an attorney with DFW Law Firm, also identified as Deters Fichner & Williams PLLC. He represents clients in criminal defense matters in Kentucky and Ohio, drawing on significant courtroom experience and a background as a former prosecutor. Fichner handles cases involving DUI, drug possession, drug trafficking, homicide, assault, theft, financial crimes, traffic violations, expungements, appeals, and post-conviction remedies.

Fichner earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2008. He also received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky in 2005. During law school, he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Joy A. Moore of the Kentucky Court of Appeals and externed for United States District Court Judge David L. Bunning. This training supports his legal writing, case analysis, and courtroom advocacy.

After being admitted to practice in Ohio and Kentucky, Fichner served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Boone and Gallatin Counties, where he prosecuted felony cases. His work included matters involving murder, sexual and physical crimes against adults and children, theft-related offenses, vehicular homicide, assault, drug possession, drug trafficking, and other felony and misdemeanor cases. This prosecutor experience gives him practical insight into criminal investigations, trial strategy, evidence, and courtroom procedure.

Fichner is admitted in Ohio, Kentucky, and the Eastern District of Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and a Barrister in the Salmon P. Chase Inn of Court. He is also a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky’s Class of 2014 and has worked on community efforts to address the heroin epidemic in Northern Kentucky. With his background in criminal law, trial experience, and local service, Jeff Fichner provides practical defense guidance to clients facing serious charges.
