About
David V. Derosa is a Naugatuck, Connecticut, appellate lawyer who has practiced law in the state since 1999. DeRosa focuses on appeals and has worked across criminal, housing, civil, family, commercial litigation, eviction, zoning, probate, juvenile, and child support matters. His practice helps clients address complex trial records, legal errors, and post-judgment issues before Connecticut and federal appellate courts.
DeRosa graduated from Boston College and Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school, he worked under Attorney Susan Hankins on his first appellate brief in State v. Bronson, which was later reversed by the Connecticut Supreme Court. His education and early appellate writing experience support his ability to research legal issues, prepare arguments, and present clear positions in complex matters.
DeRosa began his practice handling criminal appeals and matters involving people at risk of immediate incarceration for alleged failure to pay child support. He has reviewed records, researched the law, prepared briefs, and argued more than 30 appeals before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Appellate Courts. He has also argued before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Workers’ Compensation Review Board, and the Superior Court in its appellate capacity.
David V. Derosa has been recognized by Connecticut Magazine as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star for appellate work and has received an Achievement Award from the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. He is active in the Connecticut Italian American Bar Association, Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and Connecticut Bar Association. His practice reflects strong legal research, appellate advocacy, and long-standing service to Connecticut clients.
