Jeannette Smith Tysinger

Jeannette Smith Tysinger is an Of Counsel attorney with a broad and well-rounded legal practice at Hunter, Smith & Davis, LLP. Jeannette earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She later completed her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. To further strengthen her business and financial knowledge, she completed an M.B.A. from East Tennessee State University. This combination of legal, accounting, and business education allows her to approach matters with both legal and financial insight.

Jeannette began her legal career working with a title company while attending law school, where she handled residential and commercial lending matters. She also gained valuable experience through internships with the District Court of Jefferson County, Alabama, and the U.S. Attorneys’ Office for the Northern District of Alabama, working in both civil and criminal divisions. After returning to Tennessee, her practice expanded into complex real estate, tax planning, corporate law, nonprofit compliance, and estate administration.

Jeannette has helped small and mid-sized businesses with formation, mergers, acquisitions, succession planning, and compliance matters throughout her career. She has guided families and individuals through estate planning, including trusts, asset protection, and tax-efficient strategies.
