About
Jeanne Core is the founder of Core Legal in Laramie, Wyoming. She represents clients in civil legal matters involving family law, Title IX, and protection orders, with particular attention to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has practiced in Wyoming since 2019 and founded her firm in 2022. Her approach considers how trauma and safety concerns can affect a client’s experience of legal proceedings and family disputes.
Core graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2019. During law school, she served as student director of the Family and Child Legal Advocacy Clinic and participated in the Women’s Law Forum and Wyoming Law Students for Equal Justice. She received the clinic’s Outstanding Student recognition and was named her class’s Outstanding Graduate by the National Association of Women Lawyers, connecting academic achievement with direct advocacy experience.
Before law school, Core was Executive Director of Crisis Prevention and Response, a domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy program in Washakie County. She later worked as a Program Attorney for the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. That position involved assisting survivors with civil legal concerns. Her professional experience includes serving clients in courts around Wyoming and on the Wind River Indian Reservation, where she is also licensed.
Jeanne Core received the American Bar Association’s Pro Bono Leader recognition in 2022 and the Wyoming State Bar’s 2023 Pro Bono Award for Legal Services for Indigent Clients. She serves as Board President of the Albany County SAFE Project. Licensed in Wyoming and Colorado, she brings specialized training concerning domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and child abuse to her practice. Her work focuses on helping survivors pursue legal protection and greater stability.
